Since 2019, Hilary has worked part-time on the dispatch team. When she isn’t at BDS, she’s still surrounded by books in her other job as a library assistant in a high school with another BDS staff member, Annie Boardman.
Hilary and Annie are also part of a book group with other staff members at the high school, which was set up as part of a staff well-being initiative. Hilary loves reading books with her group that she wouldn’t have otherwise chosen — and has learned that sometimes persisting with a difficult read is worth it in the end.
