This book lived up to the hype! Riveting from the start, it draws the reader in and keeps us guessing until the end. Fabulously put together - now we're left curious about Lisbeth's past. It leads us into the second book well.

Only two members read this book, the rest of us found it a difficult read and chose not to continue with it. Both members were glad that they persevered with it although it was hard going trying to keep all the characters in order. One member resorted to listing them, and she said that it had meant that following the story was that much easier for her. They both said that they would like to read the other two volumes in the series.

Everybody really enjoyed the book. All thought it was very violent, but we were all hooked and intrigued. So much so, that we decided to read the second and third books over the school holidays and will discuss them in our January meeting.

One person was horrified and couldn't finish it. The rest of the group thought it was one of the best thought out and crafted novels they had read. The character development was excellent. A complex tale of good versus evil.
