So did you have fun during Book Night 2017? We did! So let's do it all again in May 2018.
This website will be updated in February 2018. Event registrations will be open then, to allow you to list your Book Night community or school event. So come back visit us then. In the meantime, diarise the 22 May and invite your school, library, whanau, workmates... to organise an activity as part of this nationwide reading event.
Thanks to the superb efforts of schools, libraries, City of Literature (Dunedin), book groups and other organisations, Book Night 2017 was a quiet (naturally, if we were reading!) but roaring success. Messages and selfies came through from Kaitaia to Rakiura, Whangarei to Dunedin, New Plymouth to Gisborne, Marlborough to Mosgiel. You can check out what 2017 participants said on the interactive map below and read about our 9-year-old prize winner and other Book Night happenings in the News section of the Book Discussion Scheme website.
