Everyone appreciated the opportunity to read/re-read this classic. An amazing work, brilliantly structured, passionate and highly readable from a remarkable imagination. Plenty of animated discussion. Dunedin 029 We all thought Wuthering Heights was a great book, whether reading it for the 1st or the 3rd time. Christchurch 185 Most of us had read this before, but were pleased to revisit it. We found it difficult to believe that Heathcliff had anything lovable about him - he was, we considered, absolutely and relentlessly unpleasant. Nevertheless, for some of us with Yorkshire roots, it was great to read the descriptions of the countryside. We had a lively discussion about this book. Lower Hutt 004 Most of the group enjoyed the book. We found it hard reading, but worth getting into. Ashburton 020 Our group watched the movie 'Wuthering Heights' as part of the discussion, and found the details of the two houses, furnishings, costumes etc fascinating....another way to enrich the group's meeting. Greymouth 002 'Wuthering Heights' stimulated great discussion (as always) in our group, though this time in particular about the author, and the Brontes in general. Upper Hutt 002
