Barbara has been leading the team at BDS since 2009. While responsible for the smooth running of the organisation, Barbara is also very involved in the day-to-day operations, often answering your emails and phone calls, or greeting you as you walk in the door of BDS HQ. You may also recognise her name as the author of the cryptic crossword in the Your Weekend section of The Press, Dominion and Waikato Times newspapers.
Barbara enjoys character-driven books and the opportunity to learn something; about cultures, countries or history. Some of her all-time favourite reads from the catalogue include: A Gentleman in Moscow, The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek and News of the World.
