Set during the Second World War in Liverpool. Amy turns 18 and decides to start writing a diary. Her sister has just given birth to a baby boy and Great Britain has announced it is at war with Germany. As the months go by, Amy fears for her brother, who is fighting in France, and her boyfriend who is in the airforce.
