Enlightening book showing despicable behaviour towards the foolishness of another culture. Nicely written and easy to read with good use of humour. Characters well developed. Tauranga 18 To sum up in one word: "Wow"! Such an interesting look at computer scams. Thought provoking and very funny. We loved it. Auckland 20 Definitely we would recommend this book. Very interesting what is behind the emails which we all receive and just delete. Wellington 173 Who has not had a begging email from Nigeria? A great read about a current topic, raising ethical issues and discussion about corruption. Waikane 2 An interesting insight into the Nigerian scammers, their motivations and life styles and community acceptance. Great first novel. Ohau 1 A compelling story..the responsibility to feed and educate your family by any means, or remain true to ideals regardless of the consequences. However the character did have choice later and greed took over. Taupo 3

Everyone in the small group greatly enjoyed this book, and felt that we had learned something about avoiding being scammed ourselves. We felt the book painted a very compelling picture of modern Nigeria's problems, though it was presented in a light and easy to read form. We all felt it was a terrific read and would recommend it highly.

Bit of a divergence of opinion - some found it very interesting/ quite humorous in parts, others were offended by the whole concept of "international scams" and thought the book "sad and nasty". Good discussion though!
